Gold for our Souvignier Gris SPUR at PIWI International

An international award for a wine that reflects our path between tradition and innovation: our Souvignier Gris SPUR 2025 has been awarded Gold by PIWI International.

Wine has been grown and made at our winery in Bolzano since 1363. For us, such a long history does not mean standing still. Quite the opposite: every generation has developed the estate further, making its own decisions with an eye to the future. For us, this also includes growing PIWI grape varieties. With Souvignier Gris, we deliberately chose a fungus-resistant variety that allows us to significantly reduce treatments in the vineyard while offering great potential for distinctive wines with plenty of character.

Our Souvignier Gris SPUR 2025 is made as an Orange Wine, revealing a particularly exciting and individual expression of this grape variety. We are therefore especially pleased that it has been awarded Gold by PIWI International.

For us, this award is a wonderful confirmation of the path we have chosen: combining more than 660 years of winemaking experience with an openness to new grape varieties, new ideas and the future of viticulture. If you would like to discover our award-winning Souvignier Gris, you can taste it with us at our winery in Bolzano-Gries.

Grand d´or

Souvignier Gris “Flo”

We are delighted to share some fantastic news: our Lagrein Riserva 2022 has been awarded the prestigious Grand d’Or Medal at the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes 2025! Among more than 1,000 wines from around the world, we are the only winery in South Tyrol to receive this top honor.

Our PIWI wines also underline the strength of combining tradition with innovation: the Souvignier Gris Orange Wine won 1st place in Italy, was awarded Top Gold at PIWI International, and earned another Gold Medal at the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes.

These achievements are a wonderful recognition of the passion and dedication that have guided our family for 21 generations in both vineyard and cellar.
